Hummus Recipe

Serves: 8
- 2 cups of canned garbanzo beans (also known as chickpeas), drained
- ⅓ cup of tahini
- ¼ cup of lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, halved
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 pinch of paprika
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of minced fresh parsley
- Place the garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, salt and garlic in a blender or food processor
- Blend until smooth
- Transfer mixture to a serving bowl
- Drizzle olive oil over the garbanzo bean mixture
- Sprinkle with paprika and parsley
- Serve immediately with fresh, warm or toasted pita bread, or cover and refrigerate
